Relaxation & Recreation
The house is situated on three acres, and is completely secluded. In the summer, it appears nestled within a forest. As leaves fall from the trees in the fall, a view of the lake and surrounding hills is revealed.
The property has 400 feet of water front with a dock on a deep lake, with kayaks. It is secluded and very nice. However, the waterfront is 400 ft from the house. Although the driveway is regularly plowed in the winter and in good condition, you will need an all-wheel drive vehicle to get up to the house during ski season (10 degree slope) . There are two parking spots at the bottom of the driveway, from which it is about a 250 foot walk uphill to the house.
Centrally located in the Mont Tremblant area, our cottage offers unparalleled access to wilderness and recreational activities for all seasons of the year, as well as well-developed arts and cultural venues in the local communities.
The Tremblant region is renowned for both its local ski hills (Tremblant & Mont Blanc) as well as its many golf courses. In purchasing our cottage, my wife and I were particularly attracted by the 'P'tit train du Nord' recreational trail, which runs close by our cottage.
Measuring over 200 kms, the path offers a great means to discover the natural beauty of the Laurentide region, by bike or foot in the summer and by cross-country ski in the winter.
In past years, we have also enjoyed camping in Mont Tremblant national park, and exploring the many trails spread out through its 1,500 kms of wilderness.
The village at the bottom of the Mont Tremblant ski hill and the local town of Mont Tremblant offer a large variety of restaurants in which to enjoy a good meal, as well as shops, art galleries and entertainment venues, for those days when you want to enjoy a more relaxed pace.
My wife and I look forward to spending many years enjoying the region. We invite you to stay at our cottage and do the same.
